• 1 cup dates without pit

  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder

  • 1/2 cup almond flour

  • 1/2 cup flour

  • 1 tbsp flax seeds

  • 2 tsp vanilla essence

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

Preheat the oven to 180 degree.

Grint the flax seeds in a mortar. Transfer to a food processor. Add dates and ½ cup boiling water. Let sit for 15 minutes.

Process the dates and the flax seeds until it forms a paste about 1-2 minutes.

Add cocoa powder, almond flour, flour, vanilla essence, baking powder and soda. Process for 20-30 seconds on medium speed. Add almond milk, process again for 20 seconds.  Open the food processor, the batter should now be shiny and moist.

Spread the brownie batter into the prepared 8 x 8 inches square pan.

Bake 18-20 minutes or until the top of the brownie is set.

Cool down for about 20 minutes before cutting into squares.

Note: If you really like chocolate, you can also add chocolate chunks to the dough! (roughly cut a quarter of a chocolate bar)
